a Tier 1 manufacturer mean according to BloombergNEF?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>BloombergNEF\u2019s Tier 1 classification is an indicator of <strong>bankability<\/strong>, not a solar module quality certification.<\/p>\n<p>To qualify for the list, a manufacturer must have supplied self-produced, own-brand modules to at least six different projects financed on a non-recourse basis by six different banks within the past two years.<\/p>\n<p>The projects must exceed 10 MW and sufficient public information must be available to identify their location, capacity, developer, module manufacturer and financing institutions.<\/p>\n<p>BloombergNEF also excludes manufacturers that have filed for bankruptcy, entered a form of insolvency protection or experienced significant financial defaults.<\/p>\n<p>Being Tier 1 therefore means that the manufacturer has demonstrated a presence in financed projects and meets BNEF\u2019s bankability criteria.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>What Tier 1 does not mean<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Inclusion in the list:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Is not a technical certification.<\/li>\n<li>Does not guarantee that one module is better than another.<\/li>\n<li>Does not directly declared by the manufacturers included in the update reaches <strong>1,049,210 MW per year<\/strong>, equivalent to approximately <strong>1,049 GW of production capacity<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><em>The order above is based exclusively on declared annual capacity. BloombergNEF does not officially rank manufacturers from best to worst.<\/em><\/p>\n<h2><strong>Key developments in the Q3 2026 Tier 1 list<\/strong><\/h2>\n<h3><strong>Four manufacturers join the classification<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The update adds four companies:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Solar N Plus<\/strong>, with 20,000 MW\/year.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Hunan Red Solar<\/strong>, with 10,000 MW\/year.<\/li>\n<li><strong>SEG Solar<\/strong>, with 6,000 MW\/year.<\/li>\n<li><strong>HD Hyundai Energy Solutions<\/strong>, with 1,400 MW\/year.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Solar N Plus is the new entrant with the largest production capacity and enters the top twenty when the list is ordered by annual capacity.<\/p>\n<p>These additions show that project financing continues to open up to new suppliers, although the world\u2019s largest manufacturers retain a very significant advantage in terms of industrial scale.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Renew Photovoltaics leaves the Tier 1 list<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Renew Photovoltaics, which appeared in Q2 with 6,400 MW\/year, is no longer included because it currently does not meet BloombergNEF\u2019s six-bank criterion.<\/p>\n<p>A company leaving the list does not necessarily mean that the quality of its modules has declined. It indicates that the manufacturer does not meet one or more of BNEF\u2019s financial or documentary requirements for this quarter.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>ReneSola is also absent from the new update<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>ReneSola, included in Q2 2026 with an annual capacity of 5,000 MW, is also absent from the new list.<\/p>\n<p>BloombergNEF excludes companies that have certain defaults on financial obligations at the quarterly data collection point. This criterion forms part of BNEF\u2019s solvency and bankability assessment.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Corporate changes involving TCL Zhonghuan and Boviet Solar<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>The update also records two relevant corporate developments.<\/p>\n<p>TCL Zhonghuan has acquired a controlling stake in DAS Solar. According to the information reported by BloombergNEF, the company will operate under the <strong>TCL Solar<\/strong> and <strong>Sunpower<\/strong> brands.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, Boviet Solar\u2019s US assets and brand have been acquired by <strong>INOX North Americas<\/strong>, which is why the company appears under the name <strong>Boviet US \/ INOX<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Jinko Solar and LONGi retain the lead<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Jinko Solar and LONGi continue to lead by production capacity, with <strong>120,000 MW per year each<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>They are followed by Trina Solar with 100,000 MW\/year, JA Solar with 88,000 MW\/year and Tongwei Solar with 85,000 MW\/year.<\/p>\n<p>Together, the five largest manufacturers account for <strong>513,000 MW of annual capacity<\/strong>, close to 49% of the total capacity included in the list. Its position is supported by a high degree of vertical integration and a major presence in solar cell and module manufacturing.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Canadian Solar<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vicoexport.com\/en\/home-es\/solar-panels\/canadian-solar\/\"><strong>Canadian Solar<\/strong><\/a> has a capacity of 61,000 MW\/year and retains a prominent position in commercial, industrial and utility-scale projects.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>AIKO Solar<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vicoexport.com\/en\/home-es\/solar-panels\/aiko-solar\/\"><strong>AIKO Solar<\/strong><\/a> remains among the top ten manufacturers with 35,500 MW\/year. The brand stands out in particular for its high-efficiency modules based on ABC Back Contact technology.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>DMEGC Solar<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vicoexport.com\/en\/home-es\/solar-panels\/dmegc\/\"><strong>DMEGC Solar<\/strong><\/a> maintains an annual capacity of 21,000 MW.
