AIKO Training

ABC Technology, field performance and technical insight for installers

During this week we accompanied our partner DIMAE in their branches in Ciudad Real, Córdoba and Jaén to deliver specialized training on AIKO technology to their entire team of installers. The goal: to deepen into the advances that are redefining the efficiency and reliability of photovoltaic systems, and how to transfer that value directly to real installations.

The training covered the technical pillars that position AIKO as one of the most innovative manufacturers in the sector. Among the topics covered, the following stood out:

ABC Architecture (All Back Contact): a paradigm shift

The DIMAE team learned in detail what sets ABC technology apart from traditional designs:

  • Complete elimination of front-side lines to maximize light capture.
  • Increased active area thanks to ZeroGap design.
  • Copper metallization with 0BB architecture, reducing microcracks and improving thermal stability.
  • Higher production under partial shading and an optimized temperature coefficient.
  • Aesthetic solutions for premium residential projects.

Overall, this architecture not only increases performance but also enhances durability and module behaviour under real operating conditions.

Impact on residential and industrial projects

Real comparative examples between ABC modules and TOPCon technologies were analysed, highlighting improvements in:

  • Annual production.
  • Reliability under mechanical and thermal stress.
  • LCOE and return on investment.

The discussion focused on how these advances translate into tangible value for installers, EPCs and end customers.

Hands-on experience: visit to the AIKO VAN

One of the most notable moments of the day was the visit to the VAN, where the DIMAE team could closely examine the manufacturer’s modules. This practical section allowed them to:

  • See the physical structure of the panel.
  • Observe the rear side and understand the logic of the ABC design.
  • Evaluate constructive differences compared to conventional modules.
  • Resolve technical questions regarding installation, handling and performance.

This direct contact with the product is key to understanding the technical superiority of the ABC range and how to communicate that value in every project.

Driving more efficient and reliable installations

The collaboration between Vico Export Solar Energy, AIKO and DIMAE reinforces a common goal: raising the technical standard of photovoltaic installations and providing installers with tools and knowledge that make a real difference in the field.
